Commission mandate

Reconciliation of conflicts through mediation is a wise choice mission for a wise generation.

Our commission mandate is to defuse disputes and conflicts through a dialogue process called “mediation”, facilitated by an independent neutral, impartial third person(s) called mediator. Whose main assignment is to assist the conflicting parties to jointly work out an agreeable, mutual resolution pleasant and acceptable to all by themselves without any influence or incitement either by the mediator(s) or others. Unlike a worldly court judge or an arbitrator whose decisions subject one client to victory and the other client to lose, mediation is about finding a resolution that connotes peace for both clients. It is always peace for peace and win-win affairs!

“…and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; … and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5: 18 – 19)”!

Our mission has no boundary to what case we mediate, we´re competent and reliable, no matter the type and nature of the conflict, provided that both conflicting parties are interested and willing to discuss their differences. As a matter of principle, we are not judiciary and do not substitute the work of the judiciary in any form. On the contrary, we are helpers in preventing new conflicts, thereby reducing the congested law suits in several law courts across the nation and at the same time promote peace, tolerance and reconciliation.

We specialized in mediating between families, friends and neighbors, states, landlords and tenants, employers and employees, husband and wife, parents and children, religious and nonreligious institutions. We are rated more competent and reliable to which we give God the glory. We are an advocate of peace and equal justice for all, irrespective of class, culture or status. God has commissioned us to this great task and we´re committed to serve you, for in doing so the scriptures are fulfilled as it is written:

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God (2 Cor. 5:18-20).

“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled (Col. 1: 20-21)”

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (Matt. 6:14-15)”.

“If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church!  I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead, one brother goes to law against another-and this in front of unbelievers! The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers (1 Cor. 6:1-8)”. NIV

We do not impose idea, advice, or decision throughout our mediation proceeding, our scope of assignment are without such authority and we do not intend, but rather we encourage the conflicting parties to see the dispute from their opponent point of view and come up with an option that can lead to a peaceful resolution for both parties involve. We consider this procedure most effective to conflict management and lasting reconciliation. Any resolution reached is legally binding once put into writing and signed by the parties.
